Today is Dec. 6, celebrated in many areas as St. Nicholas Day. Whatever your celebrations at this time of year, may you find contentment – in time with family and friends, with enjoyable activities, and with your creative self. Should you choose to give gifts, I encourage you, please, to patronize local businesses.
In this newsletter I want to bring you up to date on:
holiday activities and other changes in my downtown studio
I was reminded this morning that the shortening of the daylight is a good reminder to slow down and to focus on what brings me joy. The problem (if I can even use that word) is that I LOVE what I do and so I am very busy burning the proverbial two-ended candle while feeling very blessed with my life. However, once again time has flown by with my not taking time to connect with my loyal followers! … Read the rest
Once again, I have let time get away from me – there are so many books and so little time! (big grin!) In this edition of my newsletter I talk about the Mt Mitchell Craft Fair, recent publications, and a heart-warming story of a paper beater that went from New Zealand to Tanzania!
I hope you will scroll all the way to the end and check out my calendar of events. I am offering September workshops at Wilkes Art Gallery … Read the rest

Note that I said “what”, not “whom” – This month, in honor of Valentine’s Day, I want to talk about doing what I love, relationship love, and feeding the creative spirit as a form of self love.
I love books – whether creating, repairing, or reading. I love being surrounded by creative people. I am blessed to have found a group of women who enjoy creating and who are there to support one another.… Read the rest

As this month’s newsletter “goes to press” I am enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday in Montana with family. Definitely colder than my home in North Carolina – also quieter and closer to Mother Nature. It has been a good visit.
My topics this month include holiday venues at which my work can be viewed, updates to my website, upcoming classes scheduled, new creations, and a gift certificate discount.… Read the rest
